UM Volleyball Places 13 on AD's Honor Roll

Coral Gables, Fla. – The University of Miami volleyball team had 13 student-athletes recognized on Wednesday, Jan. 26, as members of all UM athletics teams were recognized for being named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

The presentation was made at halftime of the Miami vs. North Carolina men’s basketball game on Wednesday, Jan. 26. UM Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt presented each student-athlete and team with a certificate and took a photo with the student-athletes. The award honored student-athletes from teams over the past two semesters (Spring 2010, Fall 2010). Therefore, players from the 2009-10 playing season were recognized on the list as well.

For the `Canes volleyball team, the following student-athletes were honored: Maria Andersson, Tatiana Alvarez, Ali Becker, Lane Carico, Hannah Coleman, Ariell Cooke, Julia Giampaolo, Lizzie Hale, Genny Mayhew, Cassie Loessberg, Mariel Schofield, Nrithya Sundararaman and Christine Williamson.
