Looking to snap a seven-game slide, head coach Frank Haith and the Hurricanes welcome ACC rival NC State to the BankUnitedCenter Saturday afternoon.
The Hurricanes are led by sophomore guard Jack McClinton, who tops the team in scoring (16.0) and ranks first in the ACC in three-point field goal percentage (.437), three-pointers made per game (2.7) and free throw percentage (.908).
One of Miami’s hottest players of late has been sophomore guard Denis Clemente. Over the last five games, Clemente is averaging 14.6 points behind two career-high, 24-point outings (Virginia Tech, BostonCollege).
NC State travels to Miami having won two of their last three games, including an 83-79 victory over No. 3 North Carolina last Saturday.
The Wolfpack lineup boast five players averaging double figures in scoring, including redshirt freshman forward Brandon Costner (16.3) and sophomore forward Ben McCauley (16.1).
