James Dews named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior James Dews hit a career-high six three-pointers to finish with a game-high 20 points and two assists as Miami won its only game of the week, 91-54 over South Carolina State. For that effort, Dews has been chosen as the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week. Converting 6-of-8 three-pointers (.750) and 7-of-9 from the field, Dews jumped up two spots in the Miami record books with 139 career treys – knocking UM assistant coach Jake Morton out of eighth place. Dews’ six three-pointers ties for the most hit by an ACC player in a game this season, while his 139 total threes ranks fourth among active ACC players. |
