Hurricanes Finish Practices For Temple

Sept. 12, 2002

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami football team staged its last session of game preparation Thursday with an afternoon practice at Greentree Practice Field on the Coral Gables campus. The Hurricanes will face Temple Saturday at Noon (ESPN Regional, Channel 4 in Miami) in their BIG EAST Conference opener.

“The guys had a lot of fun today and they really ran around pretty well,” coach Larry Coker said. “We were pretty fortunate. We’ve had flood warnings all around the area and we were afraid that we were going to get rained out three days in a row and we haven’t missed anything. We were pleased about that because we definitely needed to practice.”

The Hurricanes travel to Philadelphia on Friday afternoon for their matchup with Temple. Miami’s next home game will be Saturday, September 21, in a nationally televised (ESPN) contest against Boston College beginning at 7:45 p.m. ET.
