Fox Sports Net To Air Butkus Awards Show On Saturday, January 9 At Noon

(www.hurricanesports.com) — – Tune in to FOXSports Net Florida for the television premiere of the annual Butkus Award Show from Hard Rock Live in Orlando on Saturday, December 9 at Noon. The Downtown Athletic Club of Orlando will present the Butkus Award to the best linebacker in college football during a Gala on Friday night. This year’s finalists are the Miami’s Dan Morgan, Oklahoma’s Rocky Calmus and Clemson’s Keith Adams.

The University of Miami’s Dan Morgan, a 6’3″ and 240-pound senior, holds the Hurricanes’ school record for career tackles with 507 and is the only player in school history to record more than 100 tackles in four consecutive seasons. He finished the regular season with 138 total tackles, 5 sacks and 15 tackles for loss. He is also this season’s winner of the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, which honors the nation’s top defender.

Clemson’s Keith Adams finished the year with 138 total tackles, 6 sacks and 19 tackles for loss. Oklahoma’s Rocky Calmus recorded 122 total tackles, 4 sacks and 16 tackles for loss.
