Junior (2007)

  • Led Miami with 80 strikeouts in 92 innings and finished 8-4 with a 3.82 ERA in his first season.
  • Went 5-2 with a 3.29 ERA with 50 strikeouts in 54.2 innings in ACC games, ranking him eighth in individual pitching.
  • Named ACC Pitcher of the week on Apr. 16 after striking out a career-high 12 batters in a 5-1 win over NC State.
  • Only UM pitcher to toss two complete games picking up wins at Wake Forest (5/13) and over NC State (4/14).
  • vs. Kent State (6/2): Earned his eighth win of the season after tossing 7.1 innings and striking out six in an 8-7 win in the second game of the NCAA Columbia, Mo. Regional.
  • at Wake Forest (5/13): Tossed second complete game of the season and struck out nine batters while allowing one earned run on seven hits.
  • at Virginia Tech 4/21): Struck out seven in seven innings to claim fourth win in 4-3 UM win.
  • vs. NC State (4/14): Tossed first career complete game, struck out a career-high 12 batters and allowed one earned run on five hits in win over No. 21 NC State.
  • at Virginia (3/25): Held No. 5 UVa to one run on four hits in five innings and struck out five for second win of the season.
  • vs. Mercer (2/2): Made first career appearance for the Hurricanes and struck out two in 1.1 innings.
  • at Florida (2/18): Earned first career save after throwing one scoreless inning in a 10-7 UM win.

Potomac State

  • Blossomed into one of the country’s top junior college pitchers beneath head coach Doug Little … was drafted in the 17th round of the MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox in 2005 and was drafted in the 20th round by the Arizona Diamond Backs in 2006 … led Potomac State to a pair of fifth-place finishes in the JUCO World Series in 2005 and 2006, compiling a 14-4 record in that time … set the school record for strikeouts in a season with 103 in 2006 … two-time All-JUCO World Series First Team selection.

  • Freshman (2005): Threw two no-hitters and went 5-3 with a 4.12 ERA and 70 strikeouts in 55 innings.
