Earned All-ACC honors for the second straight season in 2010 … Had arguably the most productive season by a freshman in UM history in 2008, going 11-0 with a 2.72 ERA en route to numerous All-America honors … Enters the 2010 season with a record of 18-5 and an ERA of 3.20 … Leads the staff in career innings (203.1) and games started (32) … Owns team’s best career strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.3-to-1) … Was a member of the USA Baseball National Team in 2008 … Drafted in the 14th round of the 2007 MLB draft by the Detroit Tigers.
SOPHOMORE SEASON – 2009
â˘Led UM in wins (7), innings pitched (90 2/3) and strikeouts (93)
â˘One of two UM pitchers, along with Iden Nazario, to start a staff-high 15 games
â˘Was third among all pitchers with 40+ innings pitched with a 4.76 earned run average
â˘Picked off a team-high five runners on the year
â˘Tied his career high with 11 strikeouts against Florida State on April 4
â˘Miami went 9-6 in his 15 starts
