One of eight returning letterman…Averaged 67.4 points per game…Record 10 wins and 12 losses… after season opener loss against loss to Rollins bounced back for 5 straight wins against Florida Southern, LSU, Teacher’s College of Connecticut, FSU, and Dartmouth… beat heavily favored LaSalle College 77-75 in a heated overtime game… toughest schedule in UM basketball history… First season that the team flew in airplanes instead of traveling by train or bus

As a Sophomore (1949-50)

Ended season with 14 wins, 9 losses, and second consecutive state champion… swept two game series vs. South Carolina Gamecocks (64-54) and (57-56)… 7-3 against state rivals… scored 8 points in last 50 seconds for a win over University of Pennsylvania 64-62
