AT MIAMI: Solid player with potential to become a contributor at cornerback… has impressed coaches with his work on the Hurricane scout team… has the range and speed to be an effective cover corner… made a temporary move to receiver during 2003 spring practice to help out the depleted receivers corps… joined the program as a walk-on prior to the 2000 season.


HIGH SCHOOL: Machipongo… starred on both offense and defense…played receiver and quarterback on offense, weakside linebacker and free safety on defense… was twice named Team Captain by his teammates… as a senior, caught six passes for 80 yards and one touchdown… also, rushed for 24 yards on four carries, in addition to passing for 43 yards while completing 2-of-5 attempts in his senior season…registered 76 tackles (45 solos), recovered three fumbles, and intercepted three passes (111 yards and a touchdown) as a senior… named First-Team All-District cornerback by the Eastern Shore News for his senior season performance… had a 60-yard touchdown catch against Nandua… also had 10 tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery against Nandua… earned six varsity letters in two sports: football (3) and baseball (3)… starred in baseball, hitting .380 as a senior with 10 extra-base hits, four home runs, 30 runs batted in and 43 stolen bases as a leadoff hitter during his senior year… coached in football by Jimmy Conrow.
