Larry Heffer

6 feet 4, 205 pounds, 20 years old, senior in Education . . . His high school playing was for Coach Bill Bushnell at John Marshall in Rochester, N.Y. Larry came to Miami as a rather awkward lad who averaged 8.9 points a game for the 1958-59 freshman team. He wasn’t quite able to make the varsity squad, but after two years in intramural competition he has developed into a reliable all-around performer and so, as a senior, rejoins the Hurricane varsity squad. Larry is a much improved point maker, performs well under the boards and Coach Bruce Hale believes he will be valuable as a depth man.
