AT MIAMI: Will compete for playing time at defensive tackle… an agile, quick and aggressive lineman who has the ability to make plays behind the line of scrimmage… also excels in his pursuit.
2002 (JUNIOR): Played in four games (Rutgers, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Syracuse)… credited with one tackle against Syracuse…deflected a pass at Tennessee… missed much of the first half of the season due to an illness.
2001 (SOPHOMORE): Played in eight games… made five tackles (four unassisted), including one for a five-yard loss and a quarterback sack for a two-yard loss… his lone quarterback sack came in Miami’s 59-0 defeat of Syracuse at the Orange Bowl.
2000 (FRESHMAN): Played in four games as a reserve defensive tackle… garnered four tackles (two unassisted)… had one quarterback sack for a 5-yard loss in Miami’s win over Temple… had two stops against both Temple and Rutgers… also played against McNeese State and Boston College.
1999 (REDSHIRT): Spent the season on the defensive scout team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Osceola… ranked as the No. 72 player in Florida by SuperPrep… regarded as one of the top 100 prospects in Florida by the National Recruiting Advisor… earned All-State honors, as well as Central Florida’s Defensive Player of the Year, as a senior… recorded 85 tackles and had 14 sacks in leading team to the state 5A championship as a senior… a two-time First Team All-Conference selection… also lettered in wrestling and track & field… a standout off the field, placing on the Honor Roll all four years… coached by Jim Scible.
PERSONAL:Criminology major…selected the Hurricanes over Virginia Tech, Alabama and Maryland… son of Larry and Judith Anderson.
