CAREER: Traditional fullback who has excelled as both a blockerand a receiver…started the final three games of the regular seasonand four games overall in 2003…struggled with injuries for much ofhis first three seasons…impressive blocker on blitz pickups who hasdeveloped into a solid threat as both a runner and receiver…businessmanagement major.

 

2003 (JUNIOR): Played in 12 games, starting fourtimes…rushed for 18 yards on five carries (3.6 avg.) during the reg-ularseason…caught seven passes for 45 yards (6.4 avg.)…rushedtwo times for 16 yards (8.0 avg.) against Louisiana Tech…caughta crucial 11-yard pass for his only catch of the game in the win overFlorida…had one catch for seven yards against BostonCollege…made one catch for three yards against WestVirginia…missed the Florida State game with an injury…rushed oncefor three yards against Temple and caught a two-yard pass againstthe Owls…had two catches for 16 yards against Tennessee, includinga 14-yard catch…had one catch for six yards against Rutgers.

 

2002 (SOPHOMORE): Was an occasional starter at fullback,sharing the starting role with Quadtrine Hill…played in six games andhad one carry for no gain…made one reception for 16yards…missed the Virginia Tech game with an injury…suffered atorn rotator cuff in the win at Syracuse while diving to catch apass…caught a pass for 16 yards in the win at Tennessee…enteredfall practice as the starter, but was sidelined by a leg injury duringtwo-a-days that forced him to miss the first two games of the season.

 

2001 (FRESHMAN): Played extensively as a backup to starterNajeh Davenport and exhibited strong skill as a blocker in his red-shirtfreshman season…played in eight games, rushing six times for16 yards and catching three passes for 15 yards…one of theteam’s strongest young players…saw plenty of action with thestarting unit in certain situations.

2000 (REDSHIRT): One of 17 members of the 2000 recruitingclass to redshirt.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Lakeland…versatile athlete who played widereceiver, tight end, and fullback…saw time at tight end during hissenior season…was also the team’s punter…recorded 24 catchesfor 352 yards and six touchdowns…listed as the No. 77 overallprospect in Florida by SuperPrep…selected first-team All-Countyand second-team All-State as a tight end…played for Team Floridain 2000 Florida/Georgia All-Star Game…timed at 4.65 in the40…assisted team to a 45-12 win over Rutherford for the 1999Class 5A State Championship…team compiled record of 61-2 overhis four years… four-sport letterman earning letters in football,baseball, soccer and track…coached by Bill Castle.
