CAREER: Talented cornerback who figures to start at left cornerback this season…was the starter at the same position in 2002…split time with senior Alfonso Marshall in 2003 while starting in nickel packages…has great coverage abilities…an accomplished athlete who has the tools to excel at cornerback…finance major.

2004 (JUNIOR): Started all 12 games at left cornerback…Totaled a careerhigh40 tackles (15 solo), two tackles for loss, a half sack, five pass breakupsand two interceptions…Had a big game in the season opener vs. FloridaState, making 5 tackles, a half sack and 1 interception (returned for 1yard)…Made 3 tackles in each of the next two games (Louisiana Tech andHouston), then made 4 tackles at Georgia Tech…In nationally televised gamevs. Louisville, tied his season high with 5 tackles…Started and made 1 tackleand 1 pass breakup at NC State…Registered 5 tackles at North Carolina, andthen 5 tackles and 2 pass breakups vs. Clemson…Tallied 1 tackle and 3 passbreakups at Virginia…Against Wake Forest, added 4 tackles and 1 tackle forloss…Made 3 tackles and 1 pass breakup vs. Virginia Tech…In the PeachBowl vs. Florida, made 2 tackles (1 solo) and 1 interception.

2003 (SOPHOMORE): Started five of Miami’s 13 games as a nickel back…made 18 tackles, including 12 solo stops, six pass breakups and one quarterback hurry…had one tackle in a start at Louisiana Tech…also started the Florida game…had an assisted tackle against East Carolina…started and made one solo tackle at Boston College…made a season-high four tackles against West Virginia…made one tackles for loss (four yards) and broke up one pass against Florida State…had one pass breakup against Temple…made three solo tackles at Virginia Tech…added one solo stop and one assisted tackle against Tennessee…recorded one solo stop against Syracuse…made one solo stop behind the line of scrimmage (one yard) and broke up a pass against Rutgers…had one pass breakup at Pittsburgh…made one tackle and broke up a pass in the FedEx Orange Bowl Classic victory over Florida State.

2002 (FRESHMAN): Was a key member of a Miami secondary that had to replace five key players from 2001, yet led the nation in pass defense…played much of the season with a cast on his left hand following surgery to repair a torn thumb ligament in August…played only once (Virginia Tech) without a full cast on the hand…had 25 tackles (21 unassisted), three quarterback hurries, broke up six passes and had one interception…made one solo stop against Virginia Tech…made one solo tackle at Syracuse…had three solo stops against Pittsburgh…recorded three tackles, broke up a pass, and had one quarterback hurry in the win at Tennessee…had one tackle and an interception, along with two quarterback hurries in the win at Rutgers…had five tackles, including four solos, and broke up a pass against West Virginia…made three tackles and broke up two passes against Florida State…recorded a solo tackle and deflected a pass against Connecticut…had a solo tackle against Boston College…made one solo tackle against Temple…made five tackles (four solo tackles and one assist) against Florida…missed the season opener after surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb…earned the starting job at cornerback during spring practice and held it throughout the season.

2001 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the 2001 season with a redshirt and played on the Hurricanes’ scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Suwanee…started on both offense and defense for one of the top programs in North Florida…led Suwanee to a 9-4 season and a berth in the state playoffs…was an excellent receiver on offense, catching 43 passes for 720 yards and five touchdowns…one of the top defensive backs in the state, Jennings had 41 tackles and one interception in 2000 at cornerback…listed as the No. 4 cornerback on the Florida Times-Union Super 75 list…guided his team to a third-round appearance in the State Class 3A Playoffs with a 9-4 record…has been timed at 4.5 in the 40…caught 26 passes for 386 yards and four touchdowns as a junior in 1999…had 35 tackles, two interceptions and seven passes broken up as a junior in 1999…won his school’s Scholar-Athlete Award as a junior with a 3.42 grade-point average…coached by Jay Rawls.
