Freshman Season (2010-11)Ranked 125th nationally in singles play … Went 14-10 overall and 8-6 in dual match play this spring … Recorded the match-clinching victory over Michigan’s 67th-ranked Sam Crister in the No. 4 position to advance the Canes into the NCAA quarterfinal round … Earned a pair of match-clinching victories at No. 17 Virginia (March 26) and at Virginia Tech (March 27) … With Miami and Virginia tied at three, her 6-7, 7-5, 6-4 win over 80th-ranked Erin Vierra at No. 4 gave the ‘Canes gave the ‘Canes their third road win over an ACC team … Defeated Virginia Tech’s Tea Ivanovic, 4-6, 6-5, 6-1 at No. 3 to give Miami’s its fourth point against the Hokies … Went 2-3 at No. 3 and 6-3 at No. 4 during the regular season … Went 9-6 in doubles overall and 2-4 in doubles dual match play at No. 3 … Finished the fall season with a 6-4 mark in singles play and a 7-2 record in doubles action alongside teammate Gabriela Mejia … Won her first two career singles matches with wins over Janette Bejlkova of USF (6-2, 7-6 (8)) and Sam Crister of Michigan (6-3, 6-2) at the Miami Fall Invitational … Went 2-2 at the Southeast Regional Championships, reaching the quarterfinal round of the consolation bracket after wins over Aline Berkenbrock of North Florida (6-1, 6-1) and Paola Garrido of Georgia Southern (6-1, 6-1) … Went 1-1 at the Lakewood Ranch Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic, falling to Baylor’s Karolina Filipiak, 6-3, 6-3, before beating Oklahoma State’s Malika Rose, 6-3, 6-3 … Won her first two matches with Mejia at the season-opening Miami Fall Invitational, downing UCF’s Genevieve Lorbergs and Courtney Griffith, 8-5, and Michigan’s Brooke Bolender and Denise Muresan, 8-6 … Wrapped up the fall season winning the Lakewood Ranch Classic doubles title with Mejia, cruising to three-straight 8-1 wins capped off by a victory over Oklahoma State’s Nataliya Shatkovskaya and Kanyapat Narattana in the championship match … Went 2-1 at the Southeast Regional Championship with Mejia, beating teams from Georgia Tech and Florida A&M before a Round of 16 loss to Florida’s Sofie Owen and Allie Will.
