2007 (JUNIOR): Special teams regular who played in nine games…Saw action in one contest as a linebacker … Saw action on special teams against Oklahoma, FIU, Texas A&M, Duke, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Florida State and Boston College .. .Played primarily on special teams but also saw some duty at linebacker (five plays, no tackles).
2006 (SOPHOMORE): Played in seven games, all on special teams…Played against Florida State, Florida A&M, Louisville, Florida International, Duke, Virginia and Boston College.
2005 (FRESHMAN): True freshman who became a starter on the kickoff coverage team midway through the season…Saw action in seven games…Did not play in the first four games, then saw his first action as a Hurricane vs. Duke, playing on special teams…Also saw special teams action vs. Temple, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Virginia and LSU.
HIGH SCHOOL: Led Dade and Broward counties with 110 solo tackles in 2004…One of the state’s most sought-after players…Fast and aggressive player who received All-Dade recognition as a senior, when he totaled 131 tackles…Also forced six fumbles and made two fumble recoveries…Had 90 tackles as a junior and 80 as a sophomore…Played in the CaliFlorida Bowl…Was in his school’s magnet art program and has won awards for his work…Rated the nation’s No. 16 inside linebacker by Rivals.com, as well as the No. 40 overall prospect by the Tampa Tribune…Member of the Florida Times-Union Super 75…Chose Miami over Florida State, North Carolina State, Florida, Boston College and West Virginia…Coached by Ron Butler.
