AT MIAMI: Sophomore non-scholarship player who provides capable depth at placekicker…solid student who chose to walk on at UM after being recruited by The Citadel, Army, Arizona and Washington State out of high school…has impressive range and accuracy…sat out the 2001 season with a redshirt season…was a true freshman walk-on in 2000 and made his UM debut against McNeese State…entered the action after starter Todd Sievers was injured on kickoff coverage…was 2-for-2 on extra-point attempts and missed a 49-yard field goal attempt against McNeese State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Mainland…collected seven varsity letters in two sports at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach (four in soccer, three in football)…had a longest field goal of 49 yards as a senior in 1999…averaged 39.1 yards per punt as a senior…was named first-team All-Conference in football and earned second-team All-State honors…first-Team All-Central Florida as a senior…maintained a 3.8 grade-point average in high school and was a member of the National Honor Society.
