CAREER: Talented reserve offensive lineman who has played in 26 games over the past three seasons…Can play both guard and tackle…Solid blocker, with great size, quick feet, impressive strength and a good attitude…Excellent blocker in run support and pass protection…Graduated in May 2007 with degrees in liberal arts and African studies and is pursuing a third major in criminology.

 

2006 (JUNIOR): Played in all 13 games as a reserve offensive lineman, with almost all of his playing time as a blocker on the placekicking unit…Played some reserve action at right tackle against Florida A&M.

 

2005 (SOPHOMORE): Played in nine games as a reserve lineman and on the placekicking units…Played as a reserve guard against Colorado, played as a backup guard and tackle in the second half at Temple…Suffered an ankle injury vs. South Florida and missed the Duke game…Did not play in the North Carolina and Virginia Tech games…Played on the placekicking units for the final four games of the year…For the season, made one pancake block and one metrorail, and allowed one sack.

 

2004 (FRESHMAN): Played in four games as a reserve offensive tackle…Saw action vs. Louisiana Tech, Houston, Wake Forest and Florida, notching one metrorail vs. the Demon Deacons…Listed as the backup at left tackle all season.

 

2003 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt and played on the Hurricanes’ scout team.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Did not allow a sack in high school and graded out over 90 percent in every game his last two seasons…Joined Ely teammates Andrew Bain and Tyrone Moss as Hurricane signees in 2003…Helped lead school to the Class 5A state title as a senior in 2002…As a junior in 2001, was an All-County selection and made more than 50 pancake blocks…Rated the No. 49 player in Florida by Allen Wallace’s SuperPrep…The No. 24 guard/center in the nation by Tom Lemming’s Prep Football Report…The No. 49 player in Florida on the Orlando Sentinel Florida Top 100…Chose Miami over Ohio State and North Carolina State…Coached by Steve Davis.
