AS A JUNIOR (2005): Placed ninth in the high jump (1.60m) at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships (2/18/05)…recorded team’s top mark in the high jump during the outdoor season (1.70m) at the Hurricane Invitational (3/19/05)…finished 14th in the high jump at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships (4/23/05).
AT FLORIDA (2003-04): Placed ninth in the high jump at the 2004 SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships recording a personal best mark of 1.70m…made Dean’s List as a sophomore…member of National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) and Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society.
HIGH SCHOOL: Track team captain junior and senior years…two-time Most Valuable Athlete…won the Best All-Around Female Athlete Award senior year…First team All-Dade County senior year…2A State High Jump Champion and 2002 Regional High jump Champion as a senior …four-time District High Jump Champion…holds school records in high jump, 4×100 relay and 4×400 relay …also played basketball and volleyball…team captain, team MVP and Miami Herald All-County Second Team in basketball her senior year…coached by Dr. Robert Crabtree.
PERSONAL: Exercise Physiology major…wants to become a Physical Therapist…favorite athlete is former University of Connecticut women’s basketball player Diana Taurasi…her father played basketball at Harvard and her uncle played college football for the University of Michigan.
