AT MIAMI: Moved to right tackle during the spring and was listed as the starter there entering the fall… was a force at left tackle in 2002 in his first season as a starter.

2002 (JUNIOR): A second-team All-BIG EAST Conference selection at left tackle by the league’s head coaches… second on the team with 41 pancake blocks… had a season-best seven pancakes with five metrorails against Virginia Tech… had five pancakes at Rutgers…made two pancakes and three metrorails against West Virginia…made four pancakes against Florida State… made two pancakes and a metrorail against Connecticut… made two pancakes and three metrorails against Boston College… made four pancakes and two metrorails against Temple… had five pancake blocks and one metrorail against Florida… made his first start in the season opener against Florida A&M and was named an Offensive MVP for his performance.

2001 (SOPHOMORE): Played in eight games as a reserve left tackle behind Outland Trophy winner Bryant McKinnie… developed his footwork and agility during his game activity… garnered one rushing attempt when he scooped up a fumble against Temple and ran 14 yards with it.

2000 (REDSHIRT): One of 17 members of the 2000 recruiting class to sit out the season as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Regarded as one of the top offensive linemen nationally… a SuperPrep All-American… rated the No. 2 offensive lineman nationally… rated the No. 16 overall prospect nationally by SuperPrep, as well as No. 2 prospect in Florida… listed as the No. 10 offensive lineman on Prep Star’s 1999 Top 100 Dream Team… also listed as the No. 4 offensive lineman and the No. 16 overall prospect in the Southeast Region by Prep Star… USA Today Honorable Mention All-American… a Miami Herald Class 6A-5A All-Dade first-team selection… named to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Super Southern 100… named to the Dallas Morning News National Top 100… named the No. 1 defensive tackle in Florida on the Florida Times-Union Super 75 list… listed as a National Blue Chip All-American offensive tackle by recruiting analyst Max Emfinger… timed at 5.0 in the 40… had 27 pancake blocks as a senior and graded better than 90 percent for the season… coached by Corey Bell.
