AS A SOPHOMORE (2006): Finished seventh in the shot put at the NCAA East Regional (15.60m)…earned All-ACC honors in the shot put finishing second (16.07m) at the ACC Outdoor Championships…also scored in the discus placing sixth (47.31m)…has recorded two meet wins during the outdoor season including the Pepsi Invitational (15.28m) and Texas Relays (15.47m)…finished fourth in the shot put (15.16m) at the ACC Indoor Championships.

AS A REDSHIRT (2005): Competed in only one meet during the indoor season placing second in the weight throw (17.71m) and fourth in the shot put (13.76m) at the Leonard Hilton Memorial in Houston, TX (1/21/05)…did not compete during the outdoor season.

AT FLORIDA (2004): Recorded season best marks of 16.76 meters (55-00.00) in the shot put, 50.80 meters (166-08) in the discus and 18.29 meters (60-00.25)…top finishing freshman in the shot put placing 11th at the NCAA Indoor Championships…placed fourth in the shot put at the SEC Indoor Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named first team All-American in the discus and second team All-American in the shot put senior year and second team All-American in the discus and shot put junior year…state champion in the discus and shot put senior, junior and freshman years and named to the first team All-State and first team All-Dade County for both the discus and shot put the same years…set school records in the shot put (49’11) and the discus (169’6)…named track MVP senior year…high school team won the state and district championships senior and junior years…did not participate in track and field sophomore year due to a dislocated ankle…also played basketball and volleyball…two-year captain of the basketball tam and named MVP senior year while averaging 23.4 points per game…member of the National Honor Society and the English Honor Society…selected as a winner of the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award and the Bob Hayes scholarship…coached by Coach Burley.

PERSONAL: Majoring in business…favorite athlete is Miami Heat center Shaquille O’Neal…enjoys reading, writing and shopping in her free time.
