AT MIAMI: Made the move from tight end to defensive end in the spring… played extensively in multiple tight end sets the last two seasons.

 

2002 (SOPHOMORE): Played in nine games as a reserve tight end…saw most of his action in double tight end sets… caught two passes for 45 yards and a touchdown… credited with one tackle on special teams… caught a 33-yard touchdown from Derrick Crudup against Rutgers, the first TD catch of his Miami career… made his first catch as a Hurricane against Florida A&M, a 12-yard completion.

 

2001 (FRESHMAN): Played in eight games as a reserve tight end.

 

2000 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Northwestern… Miami Herald Class 6A-5A All-Dade second-team selection… listed as one of FOX Sports Net Florida’s Top 100… recorded 23 receptions for 540 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior… led team to a 23-2 record during his junior and senior seasons, winning the State Championship his junior year… timed at a 4.63 in the 40… coached by Billy Rolle.
