AT MIAMI: Saw considerable playing time in 2000 at strong side linebacker…also played an important role on special teams…one of the strongest and fastest linebackers on the team…runs a 4.58 in the 40 and has a 34-inch vertical leap.

2000 (SOPHOMORE): Played in all 12 games for the Hurricanes, including a starting assignment in the season opener vs. McNeese State on August 31…registered 20 tackles (10 solos) during the season…had a game-high 12 tackles (7 solos) in the McNeese State game…played frequently thereafter as a reserve behind starter Howard Clark…had four tackles in Miami’s victory at Temple on October 21.

1999 (FRESHMAN): Played in all 12 games recording 18 tackles including 11 unassisted stops…recorded a career-high six tackles against Virginia Tech…tallied three tackles versus Rutgers and Syracuse.

1998 (REDSHIRT): One of 15 members of the 1998 recruiting class to redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Patterson…SuperPrep All-Southeastern selection…first-team All-State and All-Conference…named All-District as both a linebacker and tight end…registered 105 solo tackles, 75 assists, 25 sacks, six fumbles recovered, three caused fumbles, 10 tackles for loss, and one interception as a senior…at tight end, recorded 550 yards rushing and receiving, with three touchdowns…chosen to play in Louisiana high school All-Star game…holds school record for most solo tackles in a season (149 solo during junior year), sacks in a season (25) and sacks in a game (4)…named the MVP of the defense as a senior…also lettered in track & field…was an All-District track selection in the 100- and 200-meters…tallied three sacks, two fumbles caused (one resulting in a safety), an INT, a fumble returned for a touchdown, and two touchdown receptions on offense in victory allowing team to qualify for state playoffs…coached by Wally Griffin.
