2005 (JUNIOR): Star tailback who turned into one of UM’s most productive runners ever before suffering a season-ending knee injury in the eighth game at Virginia Tech…Named to the All-ACC first team along with conference MVP Chris Barclay…Led the team with 701 yards rushing on 137 carries, a 5.1-yard average and 12 touchdowns…Also caught one pass for 17 yards…Led the ACC in touchdowns and was seventh in rushing despite missing the final four games…His 12 rushing TDs was the most by a UM back since Willis McGahee in 2002…Made his first UM start in the season opener at Florida State and rushed 23 times for 102 yards. Surpassed the 1,000-yard mark for his career, becoming the 33rd UM back to do so…Scored three touchdowns in leading UM to a 36-30 win in three overtimes at Clemson. Rushed a career-high 31 times for 139 yards, averaging 4.5 yards per carry, with a long of 25. Had a 17-yard reception for only the second catch of his career and a personal long, and his 36-yard run in the third quarter was a career long…Rushed 12 times for 82 yards vs. Duke, scoring two touchdowns on runs of seven and one yard…Played only into the second quarter at Temple with UM leading 34-0. Still led the team with 29 yards rushing on six carries…Rushed for a career-high 195 yards on 24 carries (8.1-yard average) and scored a career-high four touchdowns vs. North Carolina. The yardage total is the seventh-highest in school history, and he became the fourth Hurricanes player to score four touchdowns in one game. Named the ACC Offensive Back of the Week for the second time this year. Marked his third 100-yard game of the season and sixth of his career. Set a personal best for rushing yards in a season (675), surpassing the 511 yards he had as a freshman in 2003. Moved up to 14th on UM’s all-time rushing list and seventh on the career touchdowns list with 23, passing Clinton Portis (21)…Rushed six times for 26 yards at Virginia Tech, then suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in the second quarter and was lost for the season. 2004 (SOPHOMORE): Played in all 12 games, finishing second on the team with 445 yards rushing on 102 carries…Also scored a personal-best six touchdowns…Served as the backup tailback to Frank Gore all season…Led the team in rushing in two games…In the opener vs. FSU, rushed six times for five yards…A week later vs. Louisiana Tech, led the team with 69 yards rushing on seven carries, scoring two TDs…Rushed for a career-high 148 yards on 19 carries at Houston, scoring two TDs for the second straight week. Marked his third career 100-yard game…Rushed 14 times for 46 yards at Georgia Tech…Rushed four times for 14 yards vs. Louisville…Rushed 16 times for 42 yards at NC State…Led team with 30 yards rushing on eight carries at North Carolina. 2003 (FRESHMAN): Played in 11 games…Rushed for 511 yards on 107 carries (4.8 average) and scored five touchdowns…Did not fumble during the entire season…Ranked second on the team in rushing yards, rushing attempts, yards per rush and rushing touchdowns…Eclipsed the 100-yard mark vs. Temple (135 yards) and Pittsburgh (115)…Rushed seven times for 35 yards in the opener at Louisiana Tech…Did not see action against Florida…Rushed four times for 26 yards against East Carolina…Had four rushes for three yards at Boston College…Rushed twice for one yard against West Virginia…Rushed two times for two yards at Florida State…Rushed for a game-high 135 yards on 15 carries and scored two touchdowns against Temple (including a 36-yarder)…Ran six times for 19 yards at Virginia Tech…Did not see action against Tennessee…Provided the impetus for a second-half comeback win over Syracuse, rushing 18 times for 91 yards – all in the second half – to lead Miami to a 17-10 win…Scored the game-winning touchdown on a memorable nine-yard run during which he broke three tackles…Rushed 13 times for 53 yards against Rutgers…Rushed a season-high 21 times for 115 yards and two touchdowns to key Miami’s 280-yard ground game in the win at Pittsburgh.
