Booker Named to Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami long snapper Adam Booker was named to the Patrick Mannelly Award preseason watch list Monday, marking the second consecutive year he has earned the preseason recognition.
The Patrick Mannelly Award, established in 2019, is presented annually to the top long snapper in college football.
Booker appeared in all 16 games for the Hurricanes last season, serving as Miami’s primary long snapper and recording three tackles on special teams.
Booker has appeared in 40 games during his career and helped anchor a 2025 Miami special teams unit that featured kicker Carter Davis and returning punter Dylan Joyce. Carter Davis connected on 17 field goals, including a career-long 53-yarder, and converted all 52 of his extra-point attempts while Joyce averaged a career-best 44.4 yards across 54 punts last season. Joyce placed 23 punts inside the 20-yard line and recorded a career-long 73-yard punt.
The award is named after Patrick Mannelly, who played at Duke from 1993-97 before spending 16 seasons with the Chicago Bears. He appeared in a franchise-record 245 games during his NFL career.
The Hurricanes open the 2026 season Sept. 4 at Stanford. Kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. on ESPN.
