The Lisbon, Portugal, native will look to continue his strong performance Thursday at 1 p.m. eastern time — starting with the 110m hurdles.

University of Miami alumnus, 2019 indoor pentathlon national champion, and Miami’s volunteer coach Michelle Atherley stands on top of the day one leader board in the women’s heptathlon elite division.

Atherley earned an impressive 3825 points against some of the nation’s best heptathletes.
