The Hurricanes will look to continue their momentum from last week’s Rod McCravy Memorial against strong competition from across the country. Competing schools going up against the Hurricanes include Baylor, Kansas State, Oklahoma, UCF, LSU, Kentucky, Texas Tech, TCU, and Ohio State.
On the men’s side, senior jumper Russell Robinson looks to continue his historic Miami career in the men’s triple jump. The 2023 indoor first-team All-American bested the competition with an impressive 16.48m triple jump that broke the Rod McCravy Memorial meet record, and facility record, improved on Robinson’s program record, and poses as the second-best triple jump mark in the country this season.
For the women’s squad, Ashley Moore is coming off two first-place finishes at last week’s Rod McCravy Memorial with 6.22m in the long jump and 13.01m for the triple jump — a new indoor personal best for the Miami senior. Senior sprinter Moriah Oliveira is also coming off a first-place finish in last week’s 400m, ending with a final time of 53.96.
