Hurricanes Open 2024 Season Ranked No. 21
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s tennis team places No. 21 in the ITA Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll, as announced Wednesday afternoon.
This is the 21st time in the last 22 years the Hurricanes open the season as a top-25 team in the ITA rankings.
The Hurricanes went 16-8 (9-4 ACC) during the 2023 campaign. They reached the NCAA Round of 32 for the 22nd time in a row, a streak that goes back to Yaroshuk-Tews’ inaugural season as head coach in 2002.
Also earning spots in the ranking is reigning national champion North Carolina at No. 1, 2023 national runner-up and ninth-ranked NC State, No. 12 Virginia, No. 15 Duke and No. 20 Georgia Tech.
Miami also starts the season with three players ranked in singles with junior Alexa Noel at No. 25, senior No. 81 Audrey Boch-Collins and senior Isabella Pfennig at No. 90.

The Hurricanes start their 2024 campaign with the Miami Spring Invite, set for Jan. 12-14 at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center with No. 17 Vanderbilt and LSU in attendance.
