CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami head women’s tennis head coach Paige Yaroshuk-Tews announced Thursday her team’s schedule for the upcoming spring season.

The Hurricanes will play at least 19 dual matches during the regular season, including 10 on their home court at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center to begin the slate.

Miami opens spring action Jan. 12-14 at home with the Miami Spring Invite. The strong field features three fellow premier programs in NC State, TCU and Vanderbilt. The Wolfpack are coming off a national runner-up finish, while the Horned Frogs are defending NIT champions and the Commodores are coming off their 28th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance.

The first dual match will be at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center to take on cross-town foe FIU on Jan. 18.

Miami then takes off for its first road match on ITA Kick-Off Weekend Jan. 26-27 in Knoxville, Tenn. It plays USC the first day, with Vanderbilt and host Tennessee squaring off afterwards. The losers meet the next morning, while the victors meet in the afternoon for a spot in the ITA National Team Indoor Championship.

Yaroshuk-Tews’ team starts the second month of the season with a Feb. 2 matchup against Texas A&M and Feb. 4 battle with UCF. It then, pending qualification, would head to Seattle for the prestigious ITA National Team Indoor Championship, set for Feb. 9-12.

The Hurricanes begin ACC play at home on Feb. 23 against Duke and Feb. 25 versus UNC. Miami will stay home to take on in-state rival Florida State on March 10.

Miami continues play the next weekend with a pair of in-state road matches, first March 15 against Louisville in Louisville, Ken., and then March 17 versus Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.

Then, the Hurricanes will host Clemson on March 22 and Georgia Tech on March 24.

The Hurricanes return home for a March 29 matchup with Boston College hosted at the Miami Open and then meet Syracuse two days later, March 31. That is followed by a four-game road stint.

The team will head to North Carolina for an April 5 game against NC State in Raleigh, N.C., followed by facing Wake Forest on April 7 in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Miami concludes its regular season slate the following weekend in Virginia. They will battle with Virginia on April 12 in Charlottesville, Va., before wrapping up on April 14 against Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.
