Lusardi Named 2022 Go Teach Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway Award Recipient

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami rower, Lauren Lusardi was named a recipient of the 2022 Go Teach Dr Pepper Tuition giveaway, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference Friday.

Lusardi is one of 15 recipients who will receive $2,5000 on behalf of the College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation and Dr Pepper to assist in the pursuit of a degree or career in education. Campus representatives from each school selected the 15 student-athletes.

A second-year rower at Miami, Lusardi is pursuing her degree in elementary education. On the water, Lusardi began her rowing career with the novice program at Miami and was a member of the third varsity eight boat in 2021-22.

Dr Pepper and CFP Foundation have awarded $1.5 million in tuition to the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC conference partners for student-athletes majoring in education. The ACC and the CFP Foundation have invested more than $1 million in individuals pursuing a career in teaching.

In the upcoming weeks, one recipient will win the Grand Price of $10,000 additional tuition support. The ACC’s award committee will select the Grand Prize winner.
