Robinson Claims Performer of the Week Honors
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Junior Russell Robinson earned ACC Co-Field Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
This is his second time claiming the honor this season with the first coming back on Mar. 22. It is the third weekly honor of his career.
On his first jump of the evening at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational, Robinson launched himself 16.45 meters (53-11.75) in the triple jump to set the new NCAA lead and earn the win.
His jump tallied the new school record, besting his own previous mark of 16.23 meters (53-3) set earlier this season at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational.
The Canes return to action on Apr. 23 in Baton Rouge, La., at the LSU Alumni Gold.
