CORAL GABLES, Fla. —
Brevin Jordan became the third Hurricane selected in the 2021 NFL Draft when the Houston Texans chose the standout tight end in the fifth round Saturday.

Jordan, the No. 147 overall selection, joined defensive end Jaelan Phillips (first round, Miami Dolphins) and defensive end Gregory Rousseau (first round, Buffalo Bills) as NFL draftees in 2021.

A semifinalist for the John Mackey Award honoring the nation’s top tight end, Jordan earned All-ACC second-team honors last fall after finishing with 38 receptions for 576 yards and seven touchdowns.

In three seasons at Miami, Jordan finished with 1,358 receiving yards on 105 receptions with 13 touchdowns across 30 games. The latest in a long line of representatives from #TightEndU, Jordan became the 13th player at the position from Miami drafted since 2000, tied for the most of any program in FBS.
