CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The women of the Miami track and field team are ranked for the fifth week in a row by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll coming in at No. 18.

The Canes have a combined score of 100.93 points from eight track and seven field events after having last weekend off from competition.

Miami’s top scored event is Michelle Atherley’s mark of 6,100 points in the heptathlon that ranks as the third-best score in the country and is the new program record. Close behind is the 4×100 relay of Lauryn Harris, Alfreda Steele, Jacious Sears and Tiara McMinn who ran the fifth-fastest time in the NCAA at 43.56.

Zakiya Rashid’s program record mark of 57.64m in the discus still holds a top-10 spot at No. 9 in the event from the second week of competition.

Miami travels to Jacksonville, Fla., for the UNF Invite on April 29-30 for its final regular season meet of the outdoor campaign.
