CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s basketball team is set take the floor in its home arena Wednesday night.
Miami (11-12, 3-10 ACC) will take on Boston College at 7 p.m. in its second of just three games at the Watsco Center this month.
The contest will be televised live on RSN—that is FOX Sports Florida locally—and FOX Sports GO, with Evan Lepler and Mike Gminski on the call. Miami heads into the contest with a 24-26 all-time record against Boston College, including a 13-11 mark at home and an 11-2 ledger under ninth-year head coach Jim Larrañaga, who won his first 10 matchups versus the Eagles. Most recently, Boston College recorded a 64-57 home triumph on Feb. 17, 2019.
In their last outing, the Hurricanes dropped a 99-81 result Saturday afternoon against eighth-ranked Florida State at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee, Fla. Freshman guard Isaiah Wong scored a career-high 23 points to pace all scorers in a game Miami led by as many as eight.
Redshirt junior forward Sam Waardenburg logged a career-high-tying 15 points, freshman guard Harlond Beverly posted 14 and senior guard Dejan Vasiljevic added 12 in the defeat.
Boston College is 12-12 (6-7 ACC) thus far in 2019-20 after winning three of its last five outings. The Eagles are led by redshirt senior guard Derryck Thornton’s 13.0 points and 3.5 assists per game. Picked No. 13 in the ACC preseason poll, Boston College went 14-17 (5-13) a year ago.
Miami, after its matchup with the Eagles, wraps up its first of two, two-game ACC homestands Saturday at 2 p.m. against Wake Forest, live on RSN.
