Atherley will be joined by the 2018 ACC Outdoor Track MVP Symone Mason who will compete in the 200m and the 4x100m relay. After finishing the season with eight USTFCCCA All-America honors, the Miami women will look to continue off the indoor season’s success into outdoor.
The men will be led by a number of talented freshmen in the likes of Davonte Fuller, Chauncy Smart, Tyrees Moulton and Thomas Burns. The youthful team will also be joined by Auburn transfer, Raheem Chambers, who will make his Miami home debut on Saturday in both the 200m and the 4x100m relay as the second leg.
Last time out, Chambers broke the program record in the 60m dash at ACCs with his time of 6.62 seconds to earn a silver medal. The Bahamas native will be joined by veteran Andreas Christodoulou who will compete in the pole vault, discus and 4x400m relay.
This two-day meet is the first of three home meets for the Canes. Miami will host the Power 5 Trailblazer Challenge on March 23 at Cobb Stadium. The Canes final home meet is schedule for April 12-13 as they host the Hurricane Alumni Invitational.
