Dinsmore, Cooper Earn NCAA All-America Recognition

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — University of Miami divers David Dinsmore and Zach Cooper impressed on the biggest collegiate stage Saturday night, capturing All-America honors with top-eight finishes in the men’s platform event at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.

The reigning NCAA national champion in the event, Dinsmore impressed once again in his second trip to the NCAA Championships, this one hosted by the University of Minnesota.

Dinsmore finished with a score of 434.55 to capture the second All-America honors of his career. He finished the morning’s preliminary round in second place with a score of 470.50, and ended the night’s finals with a score of 434.55.

Making his first trip as a Hurricane to the NCAA Championships, Cooper finished seventh to earn the first All-America honors of his career.

Competing in his signature platform event, Cooper clinched All-America status with an eighth-place finish in the preliminaries to earn a spot in the night’s final.

He finished seventh in the event with a score of 386.85.

Both Cooper and Dinsmore only competed in the men’s platform event and combined for 27 points, leading Miami to a 27th place finish at the NCAA Championships despite two divers combining to compete in one event.
