Miami Tennis Programs Introduce Hurricane Aces
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s and women’s tennis teams announced today the creation of the Hurricane Aces junior tennis club.
The Hurricane Aces program is open to boys and girls ages six to 13. Membership to the club is free.
“The Hurricane Aces program is a wonderful opportunity for boys and girls to get familiar with the sport of tennis and have the opportunity to be mentored by our student athletes at our wonderful facilities,” men’s head coach Aljosa Piric said. “I look forward to working with young players and showcasing this wonderful game to those in our community.”
The Hurricane Aces will hold its first event on Oct. 28 at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center on Miami’s campus, where members to the club will be given a free tennis clinic and mentorship session about the importance of academics.
“Hurricane Aces is a great community activity that Aljosa brought with him from Old Dominion,” head women’s tennis coach Paige Yaroshuk-Tews said. “Both myself and our women’s program are eager to support this initiative.
