Men's Tennis' Fall Openers Cancelled
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team will have its fall season opener delayed after this week’s University of Florida Invitational and FGCU Invitational were cancelled.
The Hurricanes were scheduled to compete in the four-day events in Gainesville, Fla., and Fort Myers, Fla., but the tournaments were called off due to Hurricane Irma’s impact on those areas.
Miami will get its fall season underway at the Rice Invitational and ITA Men’s All-American Championships (Sept. 30-Oct. 9) next week. The Canes will travel to Houston, Texas, and Tulsa, Okla., respectively.
