At the Net with Head Coach Aljosa Piric
Head Coach Aljosa Piric
Bosnia is the country where I was born.
I was raised in Bosnia and the United States.
I started playing tennis with my dad, when I was five.
When I played tennis as a child, I pretended to be Goran Ivanišević.
Leaving Bosnia was tough.
I came to the United States because of the Civil War.
I coach because I love it.
My most memorable moment playing tennis happened to be my first tournament in the U.S.
I’ll never forget the day my children were born.
To be a Miami Hurricane is awesome.
My goal is to be a great father, husband and coach.
I’ve learned perseverance is the key to success.
I’m motivated by seeing others succeed.
To me the U means unity.
Nobody knows I can ski. I have been skiing since the age of six.
When I was younger, I wanted to be a professional tennis player.
My favorite quote is one said by Og Mandino. “Weak is he who permits his thoughts to control his actions; strong is he who forces his actions to control his thoughts.”
Away from tennis, I like to spend time with my family.
The most influential person in my life is Christ.
