Coley and Carter To Take Part In The East-West Shrine Game
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Seniors Jamal Carter and Stacy Coley will take part in the 2017 East-West Shrine game on Jan. 21 in St. Petersburg, Fla., at Tropicana Field.The 92nd edition of the East-West Shrine game has been set for 3 p.m. EST and will be aired on NFL Network.
Carter was selected to the game after he tied for the team lead in tackles with 79 stops in 2016. The Naranja, Fla., native also tallied three pass breakups and one tackle for loss. Carter was a consistent force for the Hurricanes this past season as he appeared in every game.
Coley earned a spot in the game after he posted single-season career bests in receptions (58), yards (703) and touchdowns (nine). Coley’s nine touchdowns ranked third in the ACC, while his 58 receptions led the team. Following his senior season, Coley earned All-ACC honors for the third time in his career.
In 48 career games, Coley has hauled in 163 receptions (second all-time) for 2,167 yards (fifth) and 20 touchdowns (tied for fourth).
