Q&A
1. Why did you decide to attend the University of Miami?
“I felt it was a great opportunity to further my schooling here. There are so many opportunities that present themselves here in Miami with what I want to do. I also felt that my potential in track here at Miami could excel with the coaching and training that was presented.”
2. What was the best aspect of being part of Miami’s Track & Field teams so far?
“The team aspect is amazing. I feel like everyone is family and supports each other through all the ups and downs.”
3. What are some of your goals for the season?
“Obviously to give my best in every meet, but hopefully to represent Miami at nationals in the indoor and outdoor seasons.”
4. What do you feel was the biggest challenge you came across in since your arrival?
“The change in school from an undergraduate to graduate student.”
5. What is the biggest difference between previous training and what you are doing now on at the University of Miami?
“The training here is a lot more frequent and focuses on the weight room more than my last school.”
6. What do you do to prepare right before a meet?
“I call my brother, listen to my “premeet” playlist on my phone, and pray.”
7. What do you do away from practice and studying to relax?
“I love exploring new places, and since everything around me is new I am able to explore Miami and see all the new things to do. I also really enjoy going to the beach and, of course, the occasional Netflix binge watch.”
8. Three words to describe you and why?
“Determined, Caring, and Humble. I have set really high goals for myself and plan to reach all of them. I will always help whenever and who ever I can.”

Coral Gables is different from my hometown because: It is hot, humid, and the ultimate city life. Reno is definitely the opposite of all of those.

Favorite Music Artist: I cannot narrow it down to just one, but I enjoy the old school artists such as Mary J Blige, Maxwell, Lauryn Hill, Boys ll Men, and Al Green
Favorite Meal: anything cooked by my God Mom
Interesting fact about me: I have a huge fear of most animals.
