Class of 2016 Graduate: Dakota Dailey-Harris
Dakota Dailey-Harris is a jumper on the University of Miami track and field team. The Providence, R.I., native is graduating this weekend with a degree in sport administration, but the 2016 ACC indoor champion in the women’s high jump took a few minutes to look back on her time at Miami before she collects her diploma.
This summer/fall I plan to intern in graphic design with the University of Miami athletic department.
Being apart of the Hurricanes Track and Field team was something special. I couldn’t ask for better teammates throughout the four years I’ve been here.
In four years at Miami I have made friendships that will last a lifetime, experienced so many cultural things, and have finally completed my degree! 🙂
One of my best memories of my time at Miami was definitely going skydiving for the first time!
A class and professor that I enjoyed was Sports Law with Alicia Jessop.
Miami Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Amy Deem impacted me by always believing in me and always making sure I was okay.
In five years, I hope to be a graphic designer for a collegiate or professional sports team.
My favorite part of being a Hurricane is the legacy that past alumni have left for us to follow.
What I’ll miss most is the weather and the beautiful campus.
Being a Hurricane helped me realize that it really is All About The U and that I bleed orange and green.
