Lomacki/Clark Defeat No. 10 Duo from Virginia
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team fell to No. 1 Virginia, 7-0, Sunday afternoon at the Snyder Tennis Center.
Today’s match marked a significant win for sophomore duo Nile Clark and Piotr Lomacki, as they downed 10th-ranked Mac Styslinger and Thai-Son Kwiatkowski, 7-5.
“UVa. is a great team and they were too powerful for us. They’re obviously playing with a lot of confidence. Nile and Piotr had a great doubles win against the No. 10 team in the country,” said head coach Mario Rincon. “ We played some close sets in singles, but got overpowered in the second sets.”
