#ThrowdownThursday: Mac's Steal Leads To Slam

After defeating Charlotte in the Charleston Classic championship game, the Canes were scheduled to play the Charlotte two days later. Yes, the same Charlotte team they defeated less than 48 hours earlier, 77-58. The rematch was more competitive, but Miami pulled away in the second half thanks to Sheldon’s defense that led to Sheldon’s offense:

Considering Mac’s experience on the receiving end of alley-oops, this Charlotte attempt was not the brightest idea. Defense quickly turned into transition offense:

The ol’ fashioned Sheldon Angel Sheldon give-and-go became an emphatic Mac two-handed flush. The Hurricanes went on to win the game, 77-74. Sheldon McClellan scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
