Soccer Caps Road Slate at Boston College
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami soccer team will conclude its road schedule Sunday afternoon at Boston College.
The Hurricanes and Eagles will square off at Newton Soccer Field at 1 p.m. in BC’s 2015 home finale.
Each of the last two meetings between the teams have ended in double overtime ties, as the sides played to a 3-3 draw in Coral Gables in 2013 and a scoreless result at BC in 2012. Meanwhile, Miami (5-10-0, 2-6-0 ACC) has not had a tie all season this year and has gone 22-straight matches without one.
Three of the last four matchups between the Hurricanes and Eagles have gone to double overtime, with the two aforementioned ties and a 1-0 road home win by No. 11 BC in 2010. This year, Miami has played five double overtime matches, including four of the last six affairs.
The last non-draw between Miami and BC came in 2011 when the Hurricanes knocked off the ninth-ranked Eagles, 3-2. This will be the first time the teams meet in Massachusetts since third-year Hurricane head coach Mary-Frances Monroe took over at the helm of the program.
The Eagles are 10-6-1 so far this season, with a 4-3-1 mark in ACC play. They finished the 2014 campaign at 10-8-1 (3-7-1 ACC).
