Williams Helps West to WNBA All-Star Game Win

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Former University of Miami women’s basketball standout Riquna Williams participated in the Boost Mobile WNBA All-Star Game 2015 Saturday at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Now a key member of the Tulsa Shock, Williams tied for second among all 20 players in the game with six assists and aided the Western Conference to a 117-112 victory.

Williams, a 2012 AP All-American at Miami, added three points, three rebounds and a steal to her ledger and became the first Hurricane to compete in the WNBA All-Star Game.

A 5-foot-7 guard from Pahokee, Fla., Williams ranked top 15 in the WNBA this season in scoring, three-point field goal percentage and steals. She played at Miami from 2008-12 and concluded her illustrious career with 2,148 points, ranking fifth in the program’s history.
