Five Questions

Q: What has your time at Miami been like so far?

A:It’s been a very interesting learning experience, just getting adjusted to the campus and meeting new people.

Q: What has been your favorite part of being a Hurricane so far?

A: My favorite part of being a Hurricane is the atmosphere. Everyone here is so welcoming and friendly.

Q: Has anyone taken you under their wing, shown you around and helped with your transition to college? If so, who, and how have they helped you adjust?

A: My upper classmen teammates have been a huge help in my transition into college. They have shown me, as well as my other freshmen teammates around campus, given us tips, and certain do’s and don’ts to keep in mind for classes.

Q: What has been the biggest adjustment for you since you arrived?

A: My biggest adjustment has been getting to know new people and being away from my family.

Q: What are you most excited for about being in college?

A: I’m most excited about the college atmosphere. What I mean by that is the school spirit and everyone around me being just as passionate about their academics as me. I am also excited about getting better athletically.

Fill in the Blank

I committed to Miami over other schools because I enjoyed the school’s diversity, the coaching staff, my (then) future teammates, as well as the academic aspect of the university.

When I think of Miami track and field, I think of a family with a prosperous future.

My favorite part of being a Hurricane student-athlete is the tradition and togetherness.

If I had to describe the team in one word it would be
dedicated.

Coral Gables is different from my hometown because the area is more appealing and fast paced.

The biggest adjustment from high school to college has been being away from my family and friends.

When I committed to the University of Miami, I felt thrilled to start a new chapter of my life.

I love track and field because there is no other sport like it. The races last less than a minute and keep my adrenaline pumping.

My favorite moment in my track and field career was winning states as a freshmen.
