Katie Meier Announces WBB Staff Changes
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Head women’s basketball coach Katie Meier announced a number of staff changes last week, including the hiring of new Director of Operations/Special Assistant to the Head Coach Margie Gill.
Gill has over 15 years of women’s basketball operations experience, including seven years at both Ole Miss and Florida. Gill has also spent time on campus away from athletics, having spent three years in an administrative capacity at Chowan University.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Gill earned a degree in exercise science with an emphasis in sport management. She served as team manager at UF under former Rebel coach Carol Ross for four years and was head manager her final two seasons. Upon completion of her classes, Gill moved into the Director of Basketball Operations job at Florida and stayed with Coach Ross and the Gators for seven more years.
Yoni Dagan has been named the video coordinator and former Hurricane Krystal Saunders has been tabbed as Miami’s director of player development. Dagan, now in his third year with the women’s basketball staff, previously served as the director of player development. A 2014 graduate and four-year player for the Hurricanes, Saunders will assist with opponents scouting, shot charting and equipment.
