CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The No. 47 University of Miami men’s tennis team will take on No. 31 FSU Saturday April 19 at 11 a.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables in the last home regular season match of 2014.
The Hurricanes will recognize seniors Omar Aly, Gabriel Flores and Diego Soto between the doubles and singles events. There will be a free picnic and T-shirts will be available. For all children eighth grade and younger, there will be a post-match clinic.
No. 47 Miami holds a 14-9 (ACC 4-6) spring season 2014 record. The Hurricanes earned one win and one loss on the road last weekend when the then-No. 12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish took down the Canes, 7-0, but Miami was able to bounce back to defeat Boston College in the same fashion, 7-0, two days later.
No. 31 FSU holds a similar spring 2014 record to the Hurricanes, with a 16-10 overall mark and a 4-6 record in ACC play. FSU also traveled north to ACC counterparts, then-No. 12 Notre Dame and Boston College, last weekend. The Seminoles defeated Boston College, 7-0, but were downed by the Fighting Irish, 6-1.
