@CanesMensTennis Closes Strong at FGCU

FT. MYERS – Today wrapped up day three of the FGCU Eagle Fall Invitational for the University of Miami men’s tennis team.

Jack Murphy and William Albanese played in the finals of the green doubles draw, but were defeated by Chris Barrus and Reece Acree of UCF, 9-8 (7-5) in the tiebreaker.

In a floating singles match, Bernard Tefel put on a strong performance, winning against Lance Lvovsky of FGCU, 6-4, 6-4, to take home third place. 

Albanese battled teammate Henrique Tsukamoto in the finals of the green singles draw, after each winning three singles matches to reach the championship round. Albanese won the three-hour match in three sets, 6-7, 6-3, 6-3. 

The Canes will travel to Los Angeles, Calif., next weekend for the John Kramer Invitational.
