S&D Captures Fourth at All-Florida Invite
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Miami swimming and diving teams capped their three-day run at the All-Florida Invitational with a fourth-place finish during Sunday’s final rounds.
Competing in their first event of the fall, the Hurricanes totaled 400 points over the weekend to match last season’s fourth-place showing.

Fellow newcomers Tiffany Sudarma and Paige Anderson took fourth and fifth in the “B” final of the 200 Backstroke to continue the early momentum.
Three Hurricanes earned points with their finishes in the “B” final of the 100 Free: My Fridell (52.74, second), senior Katherine Nicholson (54.23, sixth) and freshman Angela Algee (54.95, eighth). Freshman Julia Schippert and junior Amy Wiley, who enjoyed solid performances over the final two days, followed up with point-earning performances in the “B” final of the 200 Breaststroke.
A sixth-place finish from Algee in the 200 Butterfly (2:05.57) and another sixth-place performance from a 400 Freestyle Relay entry comprised of Fridell, Nicholson, Algee and Wiley (3:34.76) capped the tournament for the Hurricanes.
